Why Israel is not an Apartheid state.

Say what you will about Israel, I'm posting this out of complete academic neutrality.
I will even provide examples from the country in which the term Apartheid originated, this country being South Africa.

Apartheid is a racial minority population oppressing an ethnic majority.

something which is not possible in Israel since the Jews are the majority of the population

Apartheid involves complete racial segregation something which is not practiced in Israel.

while there may be partial segregation and laws that could be considered discriminatory this is not a fully-encompassing government policy. Arabs live among Israeli Jews and have even served in the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) they are also allowed to use the same bathrooms as Israeli Jews, go to the same schools, receive the same medical care and various other public services provided by the Israeli government.
Example from Apartheid South Africa: Non-white political representation was completely abolished in 1970, and starting in that year black people were deprived of their citizenship

Example #2 from Apartheid South Africa: The government segregated education, medical care, beaches, and other public services, and provided black people with services inferior to those of white people.

Apartheid states do not allow the oppressed racial group any form of citizenship and the entire group is usually relocated.

Many Arabs hold Israeli citizenship, they have Israeli passports and vote in Israels elections. Furthermore while there are Palestinian refugees that have been forcibly relocated there are also Arabs/Palestinians living in Israel proper and as far as I know Israeli citizens of Arab descent/Islamic religious affiliation have never been relocated on a massive scale.
Example from Apartheid South Africa: Johannesburg in 1950 Apartheid South Africa 60,000 people were forcibly relocated by the Afrikaaner government.

while some of this may be applicable to Israel in specific cases it is not an all encompassing government policy. This is not up for debate, these are facts, this is a definition of Apartheid and Israel simply does not fit the bill.

As I stated before: say what you will about Israel, hate it, love it, call it discriminatory, call it racist, call it anything except an Apartheid state. As you can see by the examples listed above from the nation in which the term and policy of Apartheid first originated do not all necessarily apply to Israel. I'm sick of people tossing this term around while obviously not having the slightest idea what it actually means.
